Resolution Steps

 
  1. Make sure your converter is powered on

    • Aim your remote at the TV/Converter, and press the CBL or CABLE button, or press the power button on the converter itself (if possible)

  2. If you have a VCR, DVD recorder or a Non-Astound DVR connected to your TV and converter:

    • Make sure all connections to the cable outlet and converter are securely tightened
    • See our Hook Up Diagrams to make sure you have everything connected correctly

  3. Which cord do you use to connect your converter to your TV?

    Coaxial Cable

       Tune to the correct input channel on your TV:
    • Channel 4 (Illinois or Pennsylvania)
    • Channel 3 (all other areas) 

    RCA Type
    (Yellow, Red, White)

        If you have your original TV remote, check for a button marked Source, TV/Video,
        Game or Input. Tune to one of the following input channels:
    • AUX (#)
    • AV (#)
    • VIDEO (#)
    • GAME (#)
    • INPUT (#)

    Component (Y Pb Pr)
    Red, Green, Blue

        If you have your TV original remote, check for a button marked Source, TV/Video,
        Game or Input. Tune to one of the following input channels:
    • Component (#)
    • Component In
    • RGB IN
    • Y Pb Pr

    HDMI

        If you have your TV original remote, check for a button marked Source, TV/Video,
        Game or Input. Tune to one of the following input channels:
    • HDMI
    • HDMI (#)
    • HDMI IN
    • HD IN
