Before you begin
Before using the RCN2GO app, you'll need:
- iPad or iPhone is running iOS 7.0 or higher

Download the latest RCN2GO app from the iTunes app Store

- Connect your iOS device to Wi-Fi, on the same network as your TiVo box
Setting up the TiVo app

Launch the RCN2GO app
-
Sign in to the app using your MyRCN username and password
- At first time launch of the TiVo app, a one-time set-up process searches the network for compatible TiVo DVRs
- Select the DVR you want to use with the app
- Select the DVR you want to use with the app
- For 6 tuner TiVo and TiVo Stream, complete Streaming setup:
- In the Set up streaming device? dialog box, choose Start Setup
- On the Streaming Setup screen, check Set up in-home streaming and ensure the User Agreement checkbox is checked

- The Stream is automatically detected*, and start running through a series of checks

- This screen displays information about the show that's currently airing on your TiVo DVR
- As you change channels, the Info screen updates to reflect the new show

- Tap Watch Now to watch the show
- With a Stream or 6 Tuner TiVo, the option to watch on the phone/tablet appears

My Shows
There are two tabs on the My Shows screen

- Tap My Shows at the bottom of the screen (on a tablet), or tap the TiVo button and choose My Shows (on a phone)
- Tap a show's title to view information and options

Downloading recordings
- To download shows, you must have a 6 Tuner TiVo or TiVo Stream

Tap My Shows
- Tap the On DVR tab to view the DVR's My Shows list
- Tap the title of the recording
- Tap Download
- Choose a download quality, then tap Download with these options
- Tap On iPad or On iPhone to see the recording added to the download queue
- To delete a show
- Tap the empty circle next to each show to delete, then tap Delete
Watching downloaded shows

Note: To download shows, you must have a TiVo Stream or 6 Tuner TiVo
- To watch a downloaded show (even one that's still downloading):
- Tap My Shows at the bottom of the screen
- Tap On iPad or On iPhone

- Use the remote control buttons to navigate the TiVo menus and control playback
- Tap Gestures (on a tablet) or the Gestures icon (on a phone) to show the gesture pad areas
- Use touch-screen gestures to control video
- To return to the remote control button view, tap "Buttons" (on a tablet) or the remote control icon (on a phone)
- Note: The remote control is not available when away from your home network

- To stream a recorded show to your device:
- Tap My Shows at the bottom of the screen (on a tablet), or tap the TiVo button and choose My Shows (on a phone)
- Tap the title of show you want to watch to view information about it
- Tap Watch Now, then choose Watch on Tablet/Phone

- To stream live TV to your device:

RCN2GO can be accessed via the web at http://www.rcn2go.com/

Chrome browser support end of life notice - Begining April 14, 2022, customers attempting to access RCN2Go, Grande2Go, or TiVo2Go via the Chrome browser receive a notification that the Chrome browser is no longer supported. Firefox and Safari are still supported

- Enter the title of the show or name of the actor you're interested in
- A list of matches will appear beneath the search window
- Click the best match to get more information about it

Cannot Find the DVR
- The DVR is not listed in your app for you to choose, or you get an error message: We did not find a TiVo DVR on your account
- The TiVo servers are not recognizing the device and needs to be told about it

- This occurs when there is an error with the cookie and token handling flow thru various backend systems

Unauthorized Modification Detected
- The RCN2Go app cannot stream content to devices that are jailbroken or devices that are running public beta version software
- Per requirement of CableLabs and the content providers as such system does not guarantee a secure decode environment
- Use a different device or a computer to stream content
Error 502

Error 502 is a generic error that does not suggest a particular issue
- Simply signing out/in or force quit and re-launch will typically rectify
- Please Contact Us if the error persists
Other Errors
- There are many other errors that may occur with RCN2Go
- Confirm the app is up to date
- Please Contact Us if unable to resolve on your own
- A description of the error, equipment, troubleshooting, operating system or browser, channel, etc. is helpful for prompt resolution
International Content
- Content is not available internationally
- Streaming is limited to the continental US, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico
- International distribution rights are held by the content providers
