Resolution Steps

One Touch Record
- While watching live TV press the REC key
- Select Record this show from the list of options
To change your recordings option:
- Press the List key (No list button?)
- Select the recording

Recording Options from the list of options

Save Option

Until Manually erased. (warning: when the DVR is full, it will no longer record)

Until Space is needed (DVR will erase older show first)

- Choose Start Time options will be grayed out if the recording already started
Recording through Listings
- Press Guide
- Select future program and press Record
- Create a Manual Recording
- Choose Individual or Recurring
- Choose the Channel, Date, Start Time, or End Time
Changing Recording Options
- Press the List button (No List button?)
- Select the recording

Record a Series
- While watching live TV press Record or In the guide listings, select future program and press Record
- Choose Record Entire Series (this option only shows if the program is a series)

Series the title is on the top

Episodes to b option - Choose First Run only (no repeats) or First Run and Repeats

Channel option - Only choose the channel you are on, or pick All Channels (anywhere the DVR finds the show in the guide)

Air Time - Only choose the time you start the process, or choose All channels (anywhere the DVR finds the show in the lineup)

Save options - Until Manually erased (warning: when the DVR is full, it will no longer record) or Until Space is needed (DVR will erase older show first)

Episodes to Keep option - If choosing more than 5 choose All Episodes
- Choose Start Time and End Time options
Series Manager
- The Series Manager lets you to modify recording options for each of your series recordings. The changes you make to the series recording will affect each episode in the series. Change series options

Change Series Options
- Press the List button (No List button?)
- Press C for the Series Manager screen
- Select the recording you'd like to change
- Select Series Recording Options to change
- Press the List button (No List button?)

Sort Series by Priority
- You can change the priority of your future recordings. The higher the priority, the more likely it will record if there is a conflict

- Press C for the Series Manager screen
- Select the recording you'd like to change

Select Series Recording Priority
- Use ▼ or ▲ to move the show to a higher or lower priority

- Press A to confirm
- Use ▼ or ▲ to move the show to a higher or lower priority
Setting a Manual Recording- While watching TV press the REC key
- Select Create a manual recording
- Select Individual or Recurring recording
- Press {RIGHT] to access the Channel column. Use [LEFT] or {RIGHT] select a channel
- Press {RIGHT] to access the Days column. Use [LEFT] or {RIGHT] select a day or days
- For Individual recordings, the Day(s) column displays the date of the recording
- For Recurring recordings, the Day(s) column displays a day of the week (or a combination of days)
- For Individual recordings, the Day(s) column displays the date of the recording
- Press {RIGHT] to access the Start column to set the time that the recording should start
- Use [LEFT] or {RIGHT] to select the hour
- Press {RIGHT] key to select the next two columns for minutes
- Press {RIGHT] key to select a (AM) or p (PM)
- Example: 7:35 p
- Example: 7:35 p
- Use [LEFT] or {RIGHT] to select the hour
- Press ? to access the End column to set the time that the recording should end
- Use [LEFT] or {RIGHT] keys to select the hour
- Press {RIGHT] key to select the next two columns for minutes

- Press the A key to accept the entry and schedule the recording
- The single manual recording icon or the recurring manual recording icon Is displayed next to the program listing in the Program Guide
Recording Programs with Keyword Search
- Press Guide to display the listings
- Press Guide again to display the Search Menu
- Press the C (Search) key
- Select Keywords
- Use Your ▲,▼, ◄, ► keys to select letters, press OK/Select to add letters to the search term
- A list will populate to the right, select the show you want
- Press REC while selecting a folder, your options are:

Access, Play, Erase, and Modify Recordings
- With the remote, press the List button once (No List button?)
- Once the DVR recording list appears, use ▼ and ▲ to scroll though recordings, and OK/Select to select a recording
- Next, once the Record Options pop-up appears, use ▼ and ▲ to choose Play, Erase, Keep Longer, or Save Until Manually Erased, and press OK/Select
Sorting / Grouping Recordings (Putting in Folders)
- With the remote, press the List button once (No List button?)
- On the DVR recordings page, press A
- Arrow to and select Group Titles
- Titles will now be grouped into folders
- To expand a folder, select the folder, and press OK/Select
To un-group:

On the DVR recordings page, press A
- Choose Show All Listings from the options list
Playing All Recordings From a Folder
- Your recordings must be grouped into folders first (see above)
- Select the folder you want
- Select Play All or Play All New
- You will be shown how many hours and minutes you it will take to play
Deleting All Recordings From a Folder
- Your recordings must be grouped into folders first (see above)
- Select the folder you want
- Press the Info key
- Select Erase All
- You will be shown how many hours and minutes you are erasing
- You will be shown how many hours and minutes you are erasing
- A confirmation screen appears. Press A - Erase All to confirm or C - Don't Erase to cancel and not erase
Canceling a Recording
- In the Guide, highlight a program that is scheduled to be recorded (or currently recording), and press REC

- Press B for Scheduled Recordings
- Select the show you want to cancel
- Press B for Scheduled Recordings
- Select Cancel Recording
- Press A to confirm
Managing Scheduled Recordings
- Press List for the DVR Recordings page (No List button?)
- Press B for Scheduled Recordings
- A list of scheduled recordings display newest to oldest based on the scheduled date of recording
- Use directional keys to select the scheduled recording, and choose your options:

Stop Recording (if recording in progress)

Save
- Until Manually erased. (warning: when the DVR is full, it will no longer record)
- Until Space is needed (DVR will erase older show first)
- Choose Start Time option
- Choose End Time option
- Until Manually erased. (warning: when the DVR is full, it will no longer record)
- Cancel Recording (will cancel future recording)

Resolving a Recording Conflict
- When a recording conflict occurs, a message will pop-up advising of the conflict and how to resolve.
- You can either delete one of the recordings or modify the start and end times of one of the recordings to not interfere with the recording times of the other recordings
Viewing Recording Capacity/Hard Drive Space
- Press LIST button on remote for list of Recorded Shows (No List button?)

- Select View Disk Info

Disk space is color-coded

Red: Saved until manually erased
- Total duration (%) of all programs saved to hard drive that will remain until you manually erase them
- If majority of hard drive space is red, it means you will have difficulty recording new programming until you delete some recordings
- Total duration (%) of all programs saved to hard drive that will remain until you manually erase them

Yellow: Saved until space is needed
- Total duration (%) of all programs saved to hard drive that may be automatically erased
- Total duration (%) of all programs saved to hard drive that may be automatically erased

Green: Estimated free space
- Total amount (%) of hard drive space currently available for recording

Red: Saved until manually erased
Cropping
- The Cropping function ensures the recording of high priority shows in their entirety, even if the programs start or end at times other than the top or bottom of the hour and conflict with other scheduled recording requests

Automatic Cropping
- If a scheduled recording request overlaps two concurrently scheduled recordings by 10 minutes or less, the DVR will automatically crop (trim) the program of lower priority so that the highest priority program will be recorded completely. The programs of lower priority will still be recorded, although up to ten minutes may be trimmed

Manual Cropping
- You can also manually crop up to 10 minutes of time from the beginning or end of a program.
- Press the LIST* key to display the Saved Shows screen
- Press B if you want to manually crop time from a scheduled recording
or
- Press C if you want to manually crop time from a Series Recording
- Highlight Record Options (or Series Recording Options), and press Select/OK
- Use the arrow keys to change the start and end times (up to 10 minutes)
- The DVR will display a Cropping icon when the relevant program is highlighted in the Saved Shows, Scheduled Recordings or Series Manager

- You can also manually crop up to 10 minutes of time from the beginning or end of a program.
