Pairing a TiVo Remote

You can pair a 6 Tuner or Mini with the following remotes:

• TiVo Series 5 Remote Control
   
• TiVo Experience 4 with Voice Remote Control

These instructions are not for IPTV equipment

• Go to TiVo Home | left arrow to Menu | Settings | Remote, CableCARD, & Devices | Remote Control Setup | Pair your remote to your TiVo box
  (see steps)
   
  • Push any button, (when pushing any button, make sure its's not Live TV) and the remote automatically pairs to the TiVo
     
  • Hold your Remote no more than 3 feet from the TiVo
     
  • The amber light on top will steadily blink until pairing is complete
     
  • If the activity light flashes red with each button press, your remote is on partially paired (in IR mode)
    
    In this case:
     
    • Hold down the BACK and TIVO buttons together until the activity light turns solid red
       
    • Release the buttons
       
    • The activity light will slowly flash yellow, then flash 5 times quickly
       
    • When completely paired, the activity light flashes yellow with each button press
       
  • If the remote wont pair, reset the TiVo remote and try again
